Adult ADHD Course: Coach your ADHD
Who is this for?
You want to understand your ADHD better and be able to connect that to your experience of what it's like to live with
You have ideas and strategies for your ADHD but you're not always able to make them work for you in the long run.
You want to be able to coach your own ADHD by finding out what works for you rather than hearing more ideas that work for other people.
You have ADHD, or think you might. ADHD is a surprisingly common set of traits - the ONS found 10% of UK adults screen for 4 or more ADHD traits. But only 0.1% of adults have a diagnosis, or 1 in 100 of us living with ADHD traits. So don't let not having a diagnosis stop you taking part.
What will you get out of this?
The idea for this course came from how much help doing my ADHD Coaching training was for my own ADHD. It allowed me to understand my ADHD and build systems and structures that worked for me. I started working with my ADHD, rather than against it.
After this course you will have learnt some of the most important parts of that training, giving you a better understanding of your ADHD and how to work with it.
We will meet once a week for 4 weeks over Zoom. Each week you’ll hear about a new idea around ADHD, get the opportunity to relate that to your own experience, as well as discuss that with people in the room. Sessions will be 90 minutes with a maximum 30 people to ensure a high level of interaction.
You will also get access to a private Facebook group for the course, where we will continue the discussion.
You will learn everything during the sessions, without the need for extra reading. Each session will come with course notes so you don’t have to make your own, as well as some coaching questions to take away.
I will be delivering the course alongside the brilliantly experienced Creative Facilitator Freyja Winterson who has delivered workshops with theatres and communities all over the country. This will mean the sessions are friendly, as interactive as you'd like them to be, and allow you to reflect on your ADHD as well as hear from other people with ADHD. But don't take my word for it:
As someone who has ADHD but has never really accepted that it is there, the workshop was so beneficial for me! I feel like I can finally work with ADHD, and come to terms with it
